Colorado Smoky Chipotle is based off the Clay original recipe. This Homemade Chipotle Seasoning is a great spicy seasoning to have on hand. Use it as a rub for chicken, steak, seafood and roasted veggies. You can also add Chipotle mix to soups and sauces for that unique combination of smoky flavor with peppery heat. It's so versatile! The distinctive flavor of a chipotle is smokiness, but underneath the smoke and heat, chipotles are also sweet. Allowing the chilis to ripen on the vine to a deep red makes them much sweeter than green jalapenos. Kick up some chicken wings, or use in ground beef for some tasty tacos!
